“BSKY Nabin Health Card Registration Deadline Extended to January 26 in Odisha”

In response to valuable public input, the Odisha government has made a thoughtful decision to extend the deadline for online applications for the BSKY Nabin Health Card. Initially set for January 16, the new deadline for registration is now January 26.

Health and Family Welfare Secretary, as well as Chairman of the Odisha Health Assurance Society, Shalini Pandit, officially communicated this extension through Notification No. 184 issued on Tuesday. This move signifies the government’s commitment to accommodating public needs and ensuring a more inclusive enrollment process for the BSKY Nabin Health Card.

To be eligible for this health card, certain criteria must be met:

  • Non-Income Tax Payers: Eligibility extends to families where none of the members are income tax payees for the fiscal year 2022-23, making healthcare assistance accessible to economically diverse backgrounds.
  • Exclusion of Government Employees or Pensioners: The health card is designed for families without regular government employees or pensioners, focusing on providing support to non-governmental sectors.
